Terms of Service

Last updated June 1, 2026 · Effective June 1, 2026

Welcome to MRT Go. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and XYRA ("MRT Go", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the MRT Go mobile application, website, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

By downloading, installing, or using MRT Go, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

MRT Go is a navigation and journey-planning app for public transport in Singapore, including MRT, LRT, and bus networks. The Service includes route planning, station information, journey tracking, saved places, and disruption notifications.

MRT Go is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by SMRT Corporation Ltd, SBS Transit Ltd, the Land Transport Authority (LTA), or any other government agency in Singapore. Service names, line colours, and station names are used for identification purposes only.

2. Eligibility

To use MRT Go, you must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher), have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and not be barred from using the Service under applicable law.

If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf.

3. No account required

The current version of MRT Go does not provide account creation and can be used without signing in. Saved places, recent trips, and commute preferences are stored locally on your device unless a future account-sync feature is enabled.

If a future version introduces accounts, we will provide the relevant account terms and an account deletion mechanism before enabling account creation.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  1. Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  2. Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except as permitted by law.
  3. Use automated scripts, scrapers, or bots to access the Service.
  4. Resell, sublicense, or commercialise the Service or data obtained from it.
  5. Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or networks.
  6. Circumvent any security measure.
  7. Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm any person.
  8. Submit false, misleading, or infringing content.
  9. Use the Service in any safety-critical context where Service failure could cause harm.

5. No guarantee of accuracy or real-time data

MRT Go provides journey information based on publicly available data, seeded transit catalogues, and best-effort estimates. We do not provide official, real-time arrival times for trains or buses. Times shown are estimates and may not reflect current operational conditions, delays, line closures, or service changes.

Always verify critical journey information via official sources (LTA, SMRT, SBS Transit) before relying on it for time-sensitive travel, especially during disruptions, late-night travel, or last-train situations.

MRT Go disclaims responsibility for missed connections, missed last trains, missed appointments, or any other loss arising from reliance on journey information provided by the Service.

6. Location services and background tracking

MRT Go requests location permission to plan journeys and, when you start an active journey, to alert you before your stop. By using location features, you acknowledge that you have granted the required permissions voluntarily, that background location runs only during journeys you explicitly start, and that you may revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

See our Privacy Policy for full details on how location data is handled.

7. Notifications

MRT Go may send push notifications for stop alerts, disruption warnings, and service announcements. You may opt out in the App settings or your device settings.

8. Intellectual property

All rights in the App, the Service, its visual design, source code, branding, copy, illustrations, and underlying technology are owned by XYRA or our licensors and are protected by Singapore and international intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

Station names, line names, and transit-network references remain the property of their respective rights holders and are used for identification purposes only.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use them in connection with the Service.

9. Third-party services

The Service may include or rely on third-party services, including Apple, Google, Supabase, PostHog, and Vercel. Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or their content.

10. Updates and changes to the Service

We may release updates, add or remove features, or modify the Service at any time. We may also discontinue the Service in whole or in part. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of material changes.

11. Fees

The core MRT Go App is currently free to download and use. If we introduce paid features, pricing and billing terms will be presented in the App before any charge. If a paid feature is purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the relevant store's billing, cancellation, and refund rules will also apply.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement; any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; and any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of journey, route, or disruption information.

You use the Service at your own risk.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall MRT Go, its affiliates, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, or for damages arising from missed connections, missed transit services, missed appointments, or reliance on journey information.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) SGD 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MRT Go and its affiliates against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App and deleting local App data from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

16. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) under the SIAC Rules in force at the time. The seat shall be Singapore, the language English, and the tribunal shall consist of one arbitrator. Either party may seek injunctive relief in the courts of Singapore to protect intellectual property or confidential information.

17. Apple App Store additional terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and XYRA only, not Apple.

Your licence to use the App is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including Family Sharing or volume purchasing where applicable.

XYRA, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App, its content, maintenance, support, warranties to the extent not disclaimed, product claims, legal or regulatory claims, consumer protection claims, privacy claims, and any third-party claim that the App or your use of it infringes intellectual property rights.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.

You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated by the United States government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must also comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App, including wireless data service terms.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you.

18. Google Play additional terms

If you downloaded the App from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. In the event of conflict relating to Google Play distribution, billing, cancellation, or refunds, the Google Play terms prevail to that extent.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the App or on the website. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

20. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
  • Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Notices. We may send notices through in-App messaging, the website, or any contact details you provide when contacting us.
  • Force majeure. We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control.
