Then: a short sheltered walk from the station to the gardens.

Gardens by the Bay finally got its own station on the Thomson-East Coast Line, which made the trip far simpler than it used to be. Before that, most visitors arrived through Bayfront and walked across the bridge, and that route still works well if you are already on the Circle or Downtown line.

Getting there by MRT

  1. Ride the Thomson-East Coast Line to Gardens by the Bay station.
  2. Follow the signs toward the gardens for a short, mostly sheltered walk.
  3. If you are on the Circle or Downtown line instead, alight at Bayfront and cross the Dragonfly Bridge from Marina Bay Sands.

Another way in

Bayfront on the Circle and Downtown lines also reaches the gardens across the Dragonfly Bridge.

Tips for the trip

  • The Supertree light show runs in the evening, so an after-dark arrival is worth planning around.
  • The conservatories (Flower Dome and Cloud Forest) are ticketed and indoors, which makes them a good wet-weather option.
